Itinerary
Day 1: 08:00 Pick up from your hotel in La Paz to drive out and up a mountain pass before alighting at 4,600m. The first hour’s walk is uphill, to the top of the pass at 4,700m before the descent towards the village of Chucura.
Day 2: A good breakfast we set out to witness of the extraordinary change in the ecosystems step-by-step on a tough six-hour stint to Choro village.
Day 3: At this level the vegetation starts to grow lusher with flowers, birds and butterflies brightening the way and the crossing of several suspension bridges towards Sandillani.
Day 4: A final stretch of three hours through thicker, sub-tropical vegetation to the small village of Chairo at 1,200 metres. A vehicle is waiting there to transfer to Coroico for a rewarding lunch and optional stay before returning to La Paz.
